Come play the largest game of (salamander) hide and seek Burlington has ever seen! Introducing the two newest Jeffersons in our neck of the woods, Jeff & Sally. These salamanders LOVE to hide, but they’re worth searching for! Whether you’re 8 or 88, playing hide and seek with these one-of-a-kind salamanders is a great way to celebrate the annual migration of our endangered Jefferson salamander.

Monday, March 11 to Friday, March 15, 2024

How to play:

  • A Jeff & Sally will be hidden at a different secret location somewhere in Burlington each weekday of March Break, but will be visible for one day only!

  • Sign up to receive emails from us for early access to salamander secret location clues. Riddles will be sent straight to your inbox the night before each salamander pair goes into hiding.

  • Follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@coreburlington), and if you haven’t signed up for emails, check our social media the morning of to find the daily clue.

  • Seek them out, take a photo, and send it to us! We’ll enter you to win one of our daily prizes, as well as our grand prize at the end of the week.

  • There’s 5 pairs of Jeff and Sallys, that’s 10 in total. But they’ll only be out for one day before they go back into hiding! Find them all and you’ll receive a special prize for being one of Burlington’s top salamander seekers.

Our Jeff & Sallys are all unique art pieces brought to life by the Escarpment Artists.
